The Independent National Electoral Commission has presented the Certificates of Return to the winner of the 2023 presidential election held on February 25, Bola Tinubu, and his vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima.
Present-elect, Bola Tinubu said his Certificate of Return symbolizes that each Nigerian has the ability to achieve their dreams. He made this known on Wednesday after receiving the Certificate.
Tinubu promised to work day and night to make the country better, adding that he is committed to the progress and development of the country.
He said: “The road has been long, yet we worked it. The battle has been hard fought, yet we won it. “By taking this sacrifice, I accept a sacred duty. I will work day and night to make Nigeria better. We are committed to the progress and development of Nigeria.”
The presentation of the CoR was done by the chairman of INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, on Wednesday afternoon at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, venue of the presidential election results collation.
