The National Examination Council, NECO has released the examination results of students in Kano state. The state’s Commissioner of Education, Muhammad Sanusi-Kiru confirmed this in a statement issued by his Public Relations Officer, Aliyu Yusuf to newsmen on Sunday in the state.

An unspecified number of travelers have been abducted along the Kaduna-Abuja highway. A video released online showed two empty vehicles, which appeared to have been abandoned in the middle of the highway, suggesting abduction.

A member of staff of the Army Children Senior High School in Epe, Lagos, Handed Sa’heed, has been shot dead in Lagos. The deceased popularly called ‘World Morgan, was the school’s Biology teacher and Registrar.

The wife and mother of Bokkolo, a notorious bandit, were reportedly trapped when fighter jets bombarded his residence in Sokoto State. Nigerian fighter jets were said to have killed several bandits and their relatives. A resident, who confirmed the bombardment of Bokkolo’s residence said, many of his lieutenants were killed in the house.

Parents of public primary and secondary schools in the FCT have expressed concern over the ongoing strike by teachers. This is coming when the striking teachers are insisting that the action will continue today (Monday).

A man, his wife, and two other relations have been arrested for allegedly trafficking a 13-year-old girl, Chiamaka, to Burkina Faso, for prostitution. The suspects were arrested by the police in Delta State, where the victim was lured to before being moved to the West African country.

A yet-to-be-identified man was, on Sunday, found dead on an electricity pole in the Kobape area of Abeokuta, Ogun State capital. Spokesman of the Police Command in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, while confirming the incident, said the man must have attempted to steal electricity cables, thus dispelling rumours that he was on a suicide mission.

Governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had a closed-door meeting at the Kebbi State Governor’s lodge in Abuja on Sunday evening. It was gathered that the meeting was aimed at ironing out issues regarding the party’s forthcoming national convention.
